tIRC 3.9 and up Documentation Document Author: Mo Document Date: 5/8/04 Updated: 23 December 2011 You must read this manual or we won't help you with tIRC if you have a problem. Here is a list of tIRC keystrokes and what they do: Shift F1- Loads this document. F2- Reloads agent in case if it crashes. Shift F2- Tells you the window that has focus. F3- Skips to the next message in the speech buffer. Shift F3- Speaks tIRC information. F4- Shuts up speech completely. This doesn't unload speech, just clears the speech buffer. f5- reloads speech shift f5- reloads speech only for a certain window Control f5- Speaks channel topic F6- Unloads speech. F7- Opens up Speech Parameters. To set the volume, use shift up and down arrows. To set the speed, use left and right arrows. To set the pitch, use up and down arrows. Note: If you want to set the pitch, volume or speed to a specific agent number, you can press "P" for pitch, "V" for volume and "S" for speed. F8- Clears all windows. Shift f8- Activates No Screen mode. In No Screen mode, no IRC messages will be shown on the screen. To send a message to a channel, No Screen mode must be pointing to a channel or query window. When you type in the No Screen window, it directs what you type to the window it's pointing at. To set the window you want it to point at, you have to type /setwin F12- If this key is pressed once, it speaks the time. If this key is pressed twice in rapid succession, it will speak the date. Here is a list of a few tIRC commands and what they do: /setpass: This command will password protect your tIRC if it doesn't have a password set. /passwd: [-r]: This changes your tIRC password. If the -r switch is specified, it will remove password protection. /saymodes on/off: This turns the saymodes feature on or off. When the saymodes feature is enabled, tIRC will tell you what most channel modes mean. For example, let's say you're in #test and someone sets mode +m on #test. If saymodes is enabled, you will here "Nick has just made #test moterated." /colors on/off: This turns on or off the speaking of colors. /setalarm
